The WSET course is for all of those who wish to learn more about the wine world, and gain a deeper knowladge about wine process making, types, and much more!

WSET LEVEL 1:
This is a beginner level introduction course to wine. This course is suitable for those just starting a wine career or are just pursuing an interest in wine.
What you will learn, in a 1 day course:
- The current wine world
- The main types and styles of wine
- The basic principles of food and wine pairing (with practical exercises)
- How to store and serve wine
- Create simple tasting notes
WSET LEVEL 2:
Either you’re working in the hospitality and notice that your customers know more and more about wine, and that you need to keep up to date. Or you are simply a wine lover that wants to gain knowladge and add this into an official, international recognition.
The following topics will be taught, in the 3 day course:
- How wine is made
- What factors influence wine style
- The key white and red grape varieties and their characteristics
- The important wine-producing regions of the world
- The production of sparkling, sweet, and fortified wines
- Label terminology
- Food and wine pairing basic principles during the lunch
- How to create simple tasting notes
WSET LEVEL 3:
This is an advanced level qualification for professionals working in the wine industry and for wine enthusiasts.
The actual course consists of five teaching days and one exam day. To meet the required self study time, there will always be a few days between block 1 and 2 and sometimes block 3.
What you will learn:
Unit 1
- The key factors in the production of wine: location, grape growing, winemaking, maturation and bottling
- How these key factors influence the key characteristics of the principal
- still wines of the world
- sparkling wines of the world
- fortified wines of the world
- How to apply your understanding to explain wine style and quality
Unit 2
- How to taste wines, describe their characteristics and evaluate their quality, using the WSET Level 3 Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine® (SAT)
The focus of WSET Level 3 is even more than Level 2 on wine tasting.
The key here is to capture the taste of international wines in the student’s pallet in such a way that it becomes a calibration point in their wine taste memory.
To achieve this, no fewer than 54 international wines from around the world are tasted under the guidance of highly professional teachers with many years of tasting experience and at least WSET Level 4 diploma.
