Vineyard Characteristics
- Geography: Vineyards are situated on the slopes of the left bank of the River Minho, specifically in the parishes of Ceivães and Melgaço, at an altitude of 60 to 80 meters.
- Soil: The granite soils in this area, combined with excellent sun exposure, enable the grapes to ripen fully and rapidly.
Vinification Process
- Harvesting: The grapes are exclusively from the winery's own production and are harvested by hand to ensure the quality and integrity of the fruit.
- Fermentation: The must is clarified and fermented in stainless steel tanks at low temperatures with the addition of wood chips. This method is designed to highlight the quality of the grapes and ensure the wine matures well after bottling.
Of intense aromas and fruity, outstanding acidity which gives it vibrant freshness with prolonged finish being a frankly gastronomic wine. Consume immediately or save.
Quinta do Mascanho wine is produced exclusively from grapes of the Alvarinho grape variety in the sub-region of Monção and Melgaço, located in Alto Minho in mainland Portugal.
