Douro DOC, Quinta do Espinho, Grande Reserva 2015
Nevertheless, this beautiful scenery has its meaning – every single vine receives the maximum amount of sunlight, no shading, allowing a perfect ripening of the Quinta´s different grape varieties. Different parts of Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca, Tinta Francisca, Alicante Bouschet and Tinto Cão are carefully combined every year to a perfect blend.
Quinta do Espinho Grande Reserva 2015 is a proof of that. A complex and elegant blend aged for 20 months in French oak barrels, stands out by its intense aromas of wild berries yet, fresh in the mouth. Its ripe and silky tannins accompany its long and persistent finish. Definitely a great example of the best that the Douro valley can make.
