Taking advantage of its small size (5ha) in a land with some big producers, Val delle Corti strives for quality. Even more when the topic is their oldest prestigious vineyard, a ‘cru’ that produces the Sangiovese grapes for the Riserva - which is only made during the best years.
2019 is among these best years, where the weather conditions allowed Roberto to keep the best grapes destined to the Riserva on the vines until mid-October. The result? A wonderfully balanced wine, generous in the mouth, with flavors of ripe black fruit, bright cherry, spices such as white pepper and a subtle, elegant, soft wood. A wine that can be drunk now or cellared for a decade.
