Trás-os-Montes DOC, Arcossó, Bastardo, Tinto 2022
The Producer, tasting note published on 14 February 2023
Very open garnet color. Aroma with notes of red fruit such as cherry and plum, bush and hay. It is fragile, but shows strong character, with tannins creased in a fruity and fresh environment.
The grapes were harvested on the 1st of September. The treading of the grapes was made in tanks of 1000 liters and later they were placed in old casks of brown wood, with about 30% of stem, where the alcoholic fermentation took place for 12 days.
Two completely manual daily reassemblies were carried out, the bucket, and the wine extracted by gravity. The wine carried out the malolactic fermentation in stainless steel vats and aging in French oak barrels. It is a wine that in no part of the process had any mechanical process.
Bottled in June 2022 followed by 6 months of stage.
It is a wine that has not been glued or filtered.
Open and decant the bottle some time before consuming.
