A Barolo legend says that little gnomes help the farmers in the fields, look after the animals and the
cellar, in exchange for some wine. True or not, the gnomes that have chosen the Josetta Saffirio
vineyards have a refined taste and are enjoying some of the best modern Barolo.
Soil, steep slopes, south easterly exposed terraces, low yields, careful winemaking, oak ageing, bottle
ageing… everything plays a role in creating this magnificent Barolo and the result cannot be different
- intense perfume with distinct notes of red berries, cinnamon, tobacco, spice, chocolate, and mint –
a feast for your senses.
As a structured wine, Barolo Persiera is a great match for red braised meat and game in general, and
an ideal pairing for cheeses as well.
