The Rufete grape is an old grape variety, found mainly in the northern interior of the country, which in recent decades has been almost forgotten, mainly because it provides wines with little colour. Fortunately, some producers in Beira Interior have started to give it the attention it deserves, highlighting its many qualities I believe in the enormous potential of the Rufete grape, which I consider to be the identifying red grape variety of the region, This is a fantastic example of Rufete, from a producer who has been affirming himself, with each passing year, as one of the most consistent and unique in Portugal It stands out for its enormous purity and elegance of fruit (cherry, sour cherry, raspberries), in a set of great complexity where notes of wet earth, mushrooms, moss combine excellent freshness in the mouth, with fine tannins, long and sophisticated finish, full of brightness Great example of grape variety and terroir.
